  Service appointment review:
  My wife and I dropped her Mazda 6 off for a factory recall on the rear brakes. She was told it would be ready in about an hour. We returned 2 hours later to pick it up and the service agent told us the recall was done -- but that her front brakes were dangerously low and needed to be replaced immediately. I was already planning on doing this and I even had the new pads waiting at home. We declined and were told the car would be ready in about 10 minutes. I suspect they still had the wheels off, waiting to change the brakes. We got home and I got to work changing the brake pads. The first wheel went fine. The pads were definitely getting low, but still probably had a couple thousand miles left in them. When I got to the driver side, the lugs had been incredibly overtorqued. The wheel lock sheared while attempting to get it off. It took me several hours, many drill bits, and a chisel to get it off. This should never have happened if a torque wrench was used instead of a pneumatic wrench.
  After this, I would not plan on getting additional maintenance done here in the future.
